Hey hey, it's Kenny from The Other Realm! I'm super stoked to let y'all know that my new album, Quarter Life Crisis, is finally dropping! This baby has been a long time in the making, and I'm beyond pumped to share it with all of you.
I'm proud to say that this album is totally DIY. I wrote and produced all of it in my own little home studio. My brother, Seepie, helped out with some skilled drumming on a few tracks, and my guy Izzy crushed it as the audio engineer who mixed and mastered the final product.
I always consider myself a songwriter at heart, and with that said, I'm really proud of the songwriting on this album! I try to keep things fun and genuine, and I avoid taking myself too seriously in my songs. I want to make relatable music that speaks to people and that maybe makes them laugh, too. At least, I hope they feel like they're not alone in whatever they're going through.
There are a few tracks on this album that I'm especially psyched about. "All The Cute Boys Are Robots" is a playful and catchy tune about the superficiality of dating apps. "Tan Lines" is another fun one that captures the spicy vibe of a summer fling and the nostalgia of lazy days spent in the sun. The title track, "Quarter Life Crisis," is a tongue-in-cheek exploration of the struggles of being in your early twenties. And let's not forget "Getaway (Stars Hollow)," a cute lil dreamy song inspired by the best show ever, Gilmore Girls.
My hope is that this album can be a soundtrack and a source of inspiration for anyone who's going through a rough patch or just needs a little boost. Even if nothing else, I hope you give the songs a listen and realize that you're not the only hot mess out there! We're all trying our best, and I think this album is a testament to that.
